“Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. She conceived and bore a son and said, “God has taken away my reproach.” And she called his name Joseph, saying, “May the LORD add to me another son!” Gen. 30:22-24 ESV
When Rachel gave birth for the first time, she called her son “Yoseph” (Joseph), Which means to “add”. This may be a little bit of a play on words because she first said, “God has taken away my reproach.” The words “taken away” is from the Hebrew word “Asaph”. It seems she is saying you subtracted now you will add. For those of you feeling the subtraction right now, just wait🤔… there is an addition coming. God tends to move furniture around to prepare us for addition. Sort of like the removal of an old garage sale dresser that was functional… and you’re like, “Ahhh,😢 I was sentimentally attached to that. I gave five dollars for it.” Only to have the Lord bring in His “upgrade”, A new highly functional dresser. Watch for the Lord’s addition in this season. He will offer physical tokens of addition just to show you what He is doing in the Spirit.🤔
“Holy Father, crown your bride with beauty for ashes. Pour out the oil of gladness upon the spirit of heaviness. Release your people from all unrest and anxiety of spirit. Fill our hearts with joy and bring health to the minds of your people. In Jesus name…Amen!”
