Hungry

“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.” Phil. 3:7-8

This verse seems to be non applicable to much of modern christianity. Even many “old schoolers” have NO association with “suffering the loss of all things” for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord! Their argument simply stems from the concept, “I already have him why should I feel the need to pursue him?”🤔 “Why should I pursue further what I already have?”🤔

We try to create a mind set to compensate for what’s absent in the soul. (Your loss) The more you lose yourself in Him, the more heaven’s version of identity becomes a reality and manifest to the world. Learn the principle of immersing yourself in Christ “counting all things as loss” to “win” Him. He becomes the prize!🧐

Again the argument becomes, “I have Him, why should I win Him?” I understand this is a bit of a deep dive for you, but it flows into this. “I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.”🧐 Again, the hungry understand this! I guess the rest are going to have to sit this one out on the sidelines in this season, while the hungry pursue, all the while being dissuade with assurances by the non hungry that our pursuit is not necessary.🧐 The reward is the hungry “shall be filled!” The non hungry, well, you already have your reward. It’s called the porridge of theological complacency.🤔 You’ve traded the substance of the “pursuit of His glory” for the symbolism of ideology (nice going church👍). For the rest of us who are willing to wade through the swamp theological complacency to get to our goal, “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”Rev. 2:17 We get a white stone with a New Name! Heaven’s identity, upon our lives!

“Father, I do count All things loss that I may win Christ and be found in Him and Him alone. Clothe us with Heaven’s identity in this season of abject hunger and cause the hungry to sit at your table, in Jesus Name! Amen!” Pastor Rusty
