Grateful and Blessed

-Pastor Rusty - Dec. 17, 2024

“The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obededom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household. Now King David was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obededom and everything he has, because of the ark of God.” So David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obededom to the City of David with rejoicing.” 2 Sam. 611-13

There is an unspoken benefit of hosting the presence of God in your home. It is His blessing. It is the visible intangible that comes comes with welcoming the glory of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords into your heart, your life, your family, and your home. That intangible is the blessing of the LORD! His blessing overtakes your life. As you consistently host His presence in your home, you conform your home to welcome His presence and all the benefits that come with that. I can picture Obededom’s cows giving birth to twins, his crops twice the normal size. Whatever it was it was visible to everyone that Obededom’s house was blessed.

God’s blessing ought to be evident in the life of the believer. It is a major identification that you belong to Him. Like King David, His goodness and lovingkindness ought to overtake you. “Surely goodness and lovingkindness will pursue me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of Yahweh forever.” Psa. 23:6.

“Holy Father, fill my home with your presence! Cause your loving kindness to overtake me! May your blessing fill our baskets in this season and overflow my life. In the name of Jesus… amen!” Pastor Rusty
