$5.16

– Pastor Rusty – Dec. 31st, 2024

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16 ESV

A couple of years ago I had a dream. At the time of the dream, I was living in a Condo at Holiday Hills in Branson Mo. In my dream my wife and I had moved to a property that was near our place of ministry. In the dream we could simply get in our truck and drive from the house across a field to our place of ministry. We called it a church but, in the dream, it was a filling station, A traditional mom and pop gas station that had two pumps outside. Cars and trucks were lined up on both sides of the pumps, one side of the pumps were coming from one direction, the other side of the pumps the cars were coming in from another direction. People were filling their vehicles at these two pumps, but the pumps were older models and didn’t have dollar and cents meters built into them. So, the patrons were tabulating on pencil and paper how much they were paying per gallon. One person exclaimed that they were paying $5.16 a gallon and the dream broke off.

Let’s see if we can draw from this.🤔 First of all my wife and I have since moved to a piece of property that is in proximity to the church we pastor here in Branson. You can literally drive from our house to the Church property by driving across the field without accessing the main road seeing these two properties connect at the back of each property. I believe the Lord has called us to be a filling station for ministries that traverse through our region. This is made possible due to a powerful prayer core that reside in this region. We function with a 5:16 mentality that “The prayer of a righteous man has great power as it is working.” The vehicles represent ministries both in house and throughout the region that are in need of “oil based” fuel. The price of admission, James 5:16. Confession, prayer, healing!🤔 The word “that you may be healed” is translated from the Greek word “SOZO”. Which means to be saved, healed, and delivered! Our God is able to save to the uttermost. (Heb. 7:25) Remember why He came. “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save (sozo) his people from their sins.” Mat. 1:21 May this New Year bring fullness. May the Lord bring His prophets online in this new season. May you hear (shema) in this season better than you have ever heard before. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! – Pastor Rusty
